Brief Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Required Tools

1. Park vehicle on flat ground, wait for engine full cooling to avoid scalding by hot oil and parts.
2. Lift vehicle, remove engine upper decorative cover and drain all engine lubricating oil.
3. Use special timing tools to lock crankshaft and camshaft to fix standard timing position.
4. Disassemble timing chain cover, release timing chain tensioner and remove timing chain.
5. Loosen central fixing bolt of old exhaust camshaft adjuster, take off defective VVT gear from camshaft spline.
6. Clean camshaft spline and hydraulic oil passage to remove sludge and metal wear debris thoroughly.
7. Coat thin assembly lubricant on internal hydraulic cavity of new A2710501500 adjuster, align spline and install on exhaust camshaft.
8. Tighten central bolt to factory specified torque value, reset timing chain and tensioner in sequence.
9. Remove timing locking tools, rotate crankshaft manually twice to confirm no jamming or tooth skipping.
