Brief Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Required Tools

1. Lift vehicle and remove engine upper decorative cover, drain engine oil completely.
2. Lock crankshaft and camshaft with special Mercedes timing tools to fix original timing position.
3. Remove timing chain cover, release timing chain tensioner and take down timing chain assembly.
4. Loosen the central fixing bolt of old intake camshaft adjuster, take off the defective VVT gear from camshaft spline.
5. Clean camshaft spline surface and hydraulic oil passage thoroughly to remove sludge and metal debris.
6. Coat thin layer of assembly lubricant on internal rotor hydraulic cavity of new A2760503700 adjuster, align spline and install onto intake camshaft.
