  The connecting rod is made of aluminum alloy, featuring a lightweight design (approx. 480g per unit) and supporting direct fuel injection and turbocharging technology.
• 4.0T V8 TFSI (EA824 Series):
  Maximum power ranges from 420-605 hp (e.g., Audi S8, RS6 Avant). The connecting rod is made of forged steel (approx. 620g per unit) and can withstand a torque of over 700 N·m.
• 6.0T W12 (C64 Series):
  Only applicable to the Audi A8 L W12 (2013-2020 model years). The connecting rod is a high-strength alloy forged part, suitable for the high-load operating conditions of 12-cylinder engines.

2. Technical Parameters and Installation Requirements

Torque Standards:

• Connecting rod bolts must be tightened in two steps: initial tightening to 40 N·m, followed by final tightening with a torque angle wrench (90° rotation).
• During installation, apply anti-seize compound (e.g., Loctite 243) to the threads to prevent disassembly difficulties caused by high-temperature rust.

Material and Process:

• The original connecting rod adopts a powder metallurgy forging process, with its surface treated by carburizing and quenching, reaching a hardness of HRC58-62—superior to ordinary cast connecting rods.

Replacement Compatibility:

• 06E198401E can replace earlier equivalent models (e.g., 06E198401D), but it is necessary to confirm that the engine models match (e.g., EA839 connecting rods must not be mixed with EA824 connecting rods).
